We Arrive in Spain

After a two hour flight pinned to our seats we arrive at Alicante airport. It’s ten in the morning and a blissful 27 degrees.

Mags has organised a coach to take us to Mojácar as she has a dentist appointment.
We arrive around 2 even though it’s only a 2 hour journey.

One thing about the Spanish is the no rush culture as we left the airport more than an hour after the scheduled time.

it’s so lovely to see my Sister and even though we talk everyday it’s not the same as seeing her and Edd in the flesh.

After a delightful beachside fish dinner and a paddle in the colder than expected sea I collect pebbles, me and Maiya pose for photos and we take the 15 minute journey to their home which will be our sanctuary space for the duration of our stay.

And what a home! On arrival we gasp when Mags opens the gates to a dazzling white walled garden resplendent with bold flowers, lush green fake grass, an outside dining room, seating area with an enormous parasol, and colourful sun loungers for topping up your tan.

The single storey house is equally exquisite, so clean so perfect so ideal for Mags and Edd now eighty-seven a spritely golfer and man about the house with Mags not letting his age or her seventy one years be any excuse for not getting on with things.

They made us feel so welcome and adored Maiya for wanting to come and stay.
