Week 6: Presentations and farewell to Sri Lanka
Week 6 – The final week of the residency is here and we say farewell to Sri Lanka with a flourish of presentations in Hikkaduwa and Colombo.
Week 4: Present in Colombo, plan and produce
Week 4 – I present my artistic practice to performing arts students at the University of Colombo. We spend a day extending our visas and visit Pettah Market.
Week 3: Dance, drum, create and express
Week 3 – Research completed, ideas formed, I’ve danced to the drum and now it is time to design, create, compose, present and perform.
Week 2: Mountains, gardens and temples
Week 2 – I travelled to Colombo then on to a rented villa in Kandy for an exploration of the surrounding inland area of Central Sri Lanka.
Week 1: Share, develop and explore
Week 1 – this blog is a summary of my first week in Sri Lanka. Time to acclimatise, explore, plus share and develop ideas with my fellow artists.
